Due to the overwhelming amount of research, the Register of Wills staff will handle simple requests. If you are in need of an extensive search, we will provide you with a list of local genealogists. If you are requesting a copy of a will, marriage record, birth or death record, we ask that you put your request in writing with as much information as possible. Mail your request to the Register of Wills Office, 1 South Main Street, Suite 1002, Washington, Pennsylvania 15301. There is a $10.00 search fee required, and we ask that you enclose a stamped, self-addressed return envelope. You may also visit the office to do research. The office hours are 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
